On my walks, both planned and unplanned, I’ve noticed quite a few condoms, or condom wrappers lying around. At first I tried to ignore them, then I kept seeing them and so decided to keep a record of their location. I’ve decided to translate this map in to googlemaps, which I now realise is the best possible medium for this.
The interesting thing about condoms is that they’re a physical record of a interaction, mostly sexual. And really, people don’t often have sex in public. So I think it’s interesting. In a really basic sense, the markers on this map are physical points of contact.
